Family looking for missing father

"He was wearing black trousers, a white t-shirt, a black blazer and brown shoes."

The family of Molefe, at 291 Temong Section, is pleading with members of the community to help find their missing father, Mr Meshack Molefe.

According to his daughter, Ms Zandile Molefe (32), the fourth child of Mr Molefe, her father was last seen on September 16.

“He was wearing black trousers, a white t-shirt, a black blazer and brown shoes. He is average in height and skinny,” said Zandile.

Zandile said her father (66) was once involved in a car accident. The injuries left him mentally challenged.

“He was involved in an accident in June last year at Moriting Section, while travelling to Pretoria. For the past two weeks we have been searching the township hoping to find him wondering the streets, but with no luck. We reported him missing at the Tembisa SAPS on September 17, after we realised he was not returning home the same day that he went missing,” said Ms Molefe.

She said her father is not an aggressive person. People should not be afraid of him and should help him find his way back home.

“Since he was discharged from hospital, he loved cleaning the yard or rearranging his wardrobe. He kept busy at all times. I think he is still suffering from the accident trauma, however, he is still taking medication.

“We are appealing to anyone who might know about his whereabouts to contact us or phone the police,” said Ms Molefe.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mr Molefe can contact his daughter Ms Zandile Molefe on 078 235 2892 or his son Mr Bongani Molefe, on 082 578 0215. Alternatively, contact your nearest police station if you have any information.
