Viagra worth R8-million intercepted at OR Tambo

The goods were detained and will be handed over to the South African Police Service

SARS Customs officials intercepted six boxes of 80 000 Viagra pills worth nearly R8-million at OR Tambo International Airport on Thursday.

The drugs were part of a possible counterfeit footwear shipment that was detained on September 25.

The inspection found 79 212 Viagra pills with 3 000 Adidas footwear.

The goods were detained and will be handed over to South African Police Service for further investigation.
