UPDATE: Court closed after police officer is shot and killed in Tembisa

'Those who have been subpoenaed will enter the court house and their court appearances will be postponed.

Tembisan journalist, Jantji Ngweyama, has reported that court officials at the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court have advised those standing outside the court house that court proceedings will not continue today.
This follows the shooting earlier today.

Reports suggest that a police officer was shot and killed by a suspect who was to appear in court.
“Court officials came outside and told community members gathered outside the court room that those who have been subpoenaed will enter the court house where their court appearances will be postponed. Others were told the court will not proceed,” said Jantji.
