Pastor Welcome Thamsanqa Mlungisi Dlalisa will contribute his views on entrepreneurship in Tembisa in upcoming editions.

Pastor WTM Dlalisa holds, among other qualifications, a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) and an Honours in Public Administration from the University of Stellenbosch.

He is the founder and Chief Executive of Kingdom Development Consultancy (Pty) Ltd, which he established and registered in 2013.

The company offers leadership skills, strategic planning (integrated development planning) and ward committee governance. It also provides project management training to public sector clients, community activists, non-governmental organisations (NGO) and private sector clients.

He said the company was formally accredited by the Local Government Sector Education Training Authority in 2015 and again extended in 2016.

“This accreditation means all training programmes offered are accredited and officially recognised by the South African Training Sector, in line with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA),” said Pastor Dlalisa.

Pastor Dlalisa, is also a lead Pastor of Royal House International Church, who has enormous business experience behind him and an interest in youth development.

He said following the recent Local Government Elections in South Africa, Kingdom Development Consultancy (KDC) offered free training programmes to selected youngsters to develop their skills and promote their ability to be employed.

“These free programmes are planned to alleviate skills shortages, especially among the youth in Tembisa.”

Pastor Dlalisa also has an interest in a non-governmental organisation called Kingdom Care Centre (KCC), through which he offers a feeding scheme to orphans in Entshonalanga Section and the surrounding areas in Tembisa.

“So far, at least 40 orphans and vulnerable children are benefiting from this scheme. In addition, KCC offers career guidance and career expos, interview skills training and other forms of skills development for Tembisa youngsters,” said Pastor Dlalisa.

He said on August 29, a community sewing project was launched which mainly targeted unemployed women.

“Due to the demand, this programme is now being extended to include unemployed men.”

Pastor Dlalisa said he also offers a mentoring programme called the Joseph Achievers Mentoring Program (JAM).

“This programme targets the youth in Tembisa. It offers mentoring in the areas of education, business careers and spiritual development in addition to financial training. Many experts are invited through JAM to come and give talks to young people in a broad range of areas,” said Pastor Dlalisa.

He said prior to becoming a pastor and businessman, he worked for 19 years in both the public and private sector, at senior management levels.

His last position was head of the DBSA’s (Development Bank of Southern Africa) Vulindlela Training Academy, which provides capacity building and training to the public sector in South Africa and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region, including all Development Finance Institutions (DFIs).

“I was involved in various roles, ranging from human resources management, human resources development and public administration, where I was the head of the government training academy responsible for the training of over 20 000 government officials annually. This is the role I held for 10 years.”

Pastor Dlalisa said he is honoured to be a pastor in the township and a proud Lead Pastor of Royal House International Church in Tembisa.
