Pedestrian critically injured in another accident

A man, believed to be 30 years old, was left critically injured after he was hit by a car at the Sim and Tulbagh roads intersection late on Saturday night.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before 11pm and found the patient lying on the pavement in a small puddle of water. Upon assessment, paramedics found the man had sustained a serious head injury, leaving him in a critical condition.

Paramedics immediately began their treatment as well as providing the patient with several advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patient was transported to a nearby provincial hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.

On Friday night, EMER-G-MED attended to a collision on the corner of Green and Rigger roads.

Three people sustained minor to moderate injuries after two vehicles collided in the intersection. They were transported to a nearby facility for further treatment.

On Saturday evening around 6pm a taxi overturned at the corner of Plane and Zuurfontein roads. The driver ran away from the accident scene.
