Information evening for Norkem SAPS reservist recruitment
The information session will be held at 7pm
NORKEM SAPS is inviting people on a voluntary basis to work as reservists and assist the police in the fight against crime.
Police departments throughout the country are recruiting reservists for the force in the 2016/2017 financial year.
The recruitment of potential police reservists for Norkem Park SAPS has already started, with their first information session to be held on Friday, November 11, at Laerskool Birchleigh starting at 7pm.
The process for Norkem SAPS will consist of five phases:
- Phase 1: Paperwork Submission – November 1 to December 31 2016
- Phase 2: Fitness and Vetting – January 21 and 22 2017
- Phase 3: Psychometric Assessment – February 2017
- Phase 4: Informal Stations Training – March 2017
- Phase 5: Formal Provincial Training – April 2017
Phase 1 is the submission of the required paperwork prior to formal applications. This phase will run from the November 1 to December 31.
“Interested applicants are requested to submit the 13 documents required along with a cover letter and hand written motivation, in English, to Norkem Park Police Station,” Capt Seth Baise, Reservist Commander at Norkem Park, explained.
Completed sets of documents are to be handed to F/Sgt Kunene at Norkem Park SAPS between 9am and 3pm daily.
