The Ekurhuleni North Cluster arrested 104 suspects over the weekend for different offences
Captain Neldah Sekgobela said 20 suspects were found driving vehicles while under the influence of liquor and 15 of them were arrested in Ivory Park.
“Eleven suspects were arrested for assault, another 11 were arrested for theft and 10 suspects were arrested for possession of dagga. Other suspects were arrested for cases such as shoplifting, possession of stolen property, possession of an unlicensed firearm and malicious damage to property,” said Capt Sekgobela.
Capt Sekgobela said among the suspects arrested were two men who were arrested on Friday afternoon in Ivory Park Extension 15 Park by sector managers for possession of unlicensed firearms.
“One of the suspects had a pistol with the serial number filed off and an undisclosed amount. The other suspect was found with a pellet gun and cash in his possession,” Capt Sekgobela said.
