Tragic end to missing brother’s search
"After we realised that we couldn't find him, we thought of searching for him at the government mortuary in Germiston."
After a massive search for their missing brother, Moriting Section resident Mr Thabang Moloi’s family received the sad news that he had died.
This comes after the family began searching for their brother, who had gone missing. According to the late Mr Moloi’s younger sister, Ms Manty Mkhwanazi, they were told on Thursday last week that their brother was found dead next to a train railway line in Hospital View.
“After we realised that we couldn’t find him, we thought of searching for him at the government mortuary in Germiston. We then found him and identified him. It is believed my brother was found lying dead next to the railway line on Tuesday, October 24. We are still saddened about his death. We only wanted him to come back home and we love him,” said Ms Mkhwanazi.
The news came after The Tembisan published an article about the family who was pleading for help to find their brother.
“We were hoping to find him alive. He was a hard worker and a handy man who loved helping people. Although he had mental issues, he was never arrogant or violent. We are disappointed by his sudden death,” said Ms Mkhwanazi.
Mr Moloi will be laid to rest at the Mooifontein Cemetery after a funeral service, which will be held at house number 158 Moriting Section on Saturday.
The funeral service will start at 7am and by 9am, the service will continue to the cemetery.
“We would like to thank the community members and neighbours who took part in searching for our brother. We appreciate your support,” said Ms Mkhwanazi.
