Police hunt suspects after Tswelopele double murder

The Ivory Park SAPS is hunting two men who allegedly broke into a home in Tswelopele. It is believed the men also shot and killed a couple.

The Ivory Park SAPS communications officer, Captain Bernard Matimulane, said the couple, aged 42 and 44, were killed in the early hours of Saturday, November 12, in a hail of bullets.

“10 cartridges were found at the scene. Only a cellphone was taken. The men are suspected to have gained entry into the premises by scaling the wall and breaking the door to the room the couple was sleeping in.
“The couple was rushed to Tembisa Hospital where they were pronounced dead,” said Capt Matimulane.
The Ivory Park SAPS is calling on anyone who has information about the murders to phone 011 990-9600.
“The motive for the killing is not known at this stage but the police are following all the leads,” added Capt. Matimulane.
