Bees attack two Glen Marais men as hive is disturbed

It is believed a worker was cutting grass when a bee hive was disturbed

Two men were transported to hospital by ER24 after they were stung by bees at a property in Glen Marais this afternoon.

Chitra Bodasing Harduth, spokesman for ER24, said  paramedics arrived on scene and found that both men had been stung multiple times.

The men, one believed to be in his 50s and the other about 70, were treated and transported to local hospitals for further care, she said.

The exact details surrounding the incident are unknown. However, according to information received from the scene, it is believed a worker was cutting grass when a bee hive was disturbed.
