THE man who had been hijacked in front of Blouborsie Créche in Van Riebeeck Park had contacted Kempton Express following the article published on our website earlier.
The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said he and his wife were involved with extramural activities at the school on Loretha Street.
“Our child is not in the school as stated in the article. My wife went in to get information regarding her activity for next year and my lesson only started at 10am, so I stayed in the car.
The incident also did not happen at 7.30am as stated.
“At 9:30am, I noticed the white VW making a U-turn and driving back towards the car. Before I could do anything there were two guys at the passenger side, pulling me out of the car, and one at the driver’s side,” he said.
“I told them to take what they wanted but then noticed they were not armed. I wrestled myself loose and ran to the driver’s side. When I got there, the guy was in the car already.
“I tried to get him out of the car but unfortunately he, by then, had already turned on the ignition and drove off. There were four guys.
