Christmas party for John Wesley girls
Each girl received an item requested by them on their Christmas wish list
THUSANONG Property Solutions in Kempton Park hosted a fun day for 11 girls from the John Wesley Children Home in Van der Walt Street on Sunday.
The girls enjoyed free popcorn, candy floss and hot dogs, as well as a meal at Mochacho’s in the Bonaero Park Checkers centre on Atlas Road. A local DJ was on hand playing their favourite songs as well as a jumping castle and face painting for additional fun to the day.
The girls, aged between 13 and 19, have been sent to the home after being removed from their families by court order due to various abuses they have suffered.
The event was sponsored by Pick n Pay Bonaero Park, Bonaero Hardware, OOBA Home Loans, Party Elements, Funky Jumping Castles, The Originals Hair Salon, Hammond Pole, Thusanong Property Solutions, Van Dyk Park Primary School, Harley Davidson Pretoria Ladies and Elsja and Gawie La Grange.
Each girl received an item requested by them on their Christmas wish list, and they also received a hamper filled with sweets and toiletries.
“The event was a huge success. The main aim of the host, as well as all sponsors, was to highlight the fight of the less fortunate, specifically children during Christmas time,” said event co-coordinator, Nicole Venkatas.
