Fund-raiser fun day for cancer patient Monya (3)
All proceeds made on the day will be going towards Monya's medical bills
ANOTHER fund-raiser fun day for little cancer patient, Monya van Wyk (3) will be hosted by Beauty Esteem on December 10 from 8am to 2pm.
Monya of Van Riebeeck Park was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in May. She is receiving intense chemotherapy through a tunnelled catheter which goes through her chest directly into her heart.
The fun day will take place at 226 Monument Road and the theme is “Live for life; Let’s do this for Monya”.
There will be stalls throughout the day selling boerewors rolls, pancakes, baby products and much more, as well as a photo booth and arts and crafts.
Raffle tickets are available at R20 per ticket at Beauty Esteem or on the day, to stand a chance to win a day tour for two to an elephant sanctuary, valued at R3 800. The draw will take place at 2pm and if the winners are not present on the day they will be contacted telephonically.
The event is open to all community members and all proceeds from the day will go towards Monya’s medical bills.
