Star Neo hosts night of appreciation on Saturday
The Kempton DJ will host an event that will serve as a platform to up and coming talent
KEMPTON Park DJ Star Neo will host an event on Saturday to give back to the community.
The name of the event is called Star Neo’s Night of Appreciation and will be his way of saying thank you to the community for supporting his career.
“This is my way of showing appreciation while also giving a platform for up and coming artists in Kempton Park,” Star Neo, whose real name is Neo Lephoto, explained.
“I know how difficult it is for any artist to find a breakthrough in the arts industry as a whole. So by doing this artists would have a chance to showcase their work and get to network with people who are already in the industry.”
Anyone from DJs, music producers, vocalists, poets, dancers and fashion designers can attend the event and showcase their talents.
“For example, if you are a fashion designer, you can bring some of your creations to display at the event. Or if you are music producer, you can bring your demos through.”
DJs such as Eltonnick, Mondli, Msawden and many more will rock the decks and food and drinks will be for sale at the venue.
The event will be hosted at Jubilee Car Wash on Jubilee Street, Kempton CBD, from 2pm till late.
Entrance is free and the community is also invited to attend.
