"This will be an emotional moment for the families as some of the tombstones being unveiled belong to ancestors who were born during the 1800s."
The Tleane-Ledwaba-Mashao-Bambo clan is inviting members of the community to their tombstones unveiling.
The clan will be unveiling 15 tombstones on December 17 at the Emalebhaneni village at Ga-Mashashane in Limpopo Province.
According to the clan’s spokesperson, Mr Allie Tleane, Emalebhaneni village is situated just next to the Magadangele High School.
“This will be an emotional moment for the families as some of the tombstones being unveiled belong to ancestors who were born during the 1800s. Respecting and remembering those who came before us and gave us our humble beginnings and identity should be honoured. Friends and relatives are cordially invited to this noble ceremony,” said Mr Telane.
Mr Tleane said transport to the unveiling ceremony will be made available on demand.
“Those wishing to travel with us and who need transport are requested to inform us timeously, so that adequate arrangements can be made. Departure will be on the evening of December 16 from no 226 Tsenolong Section, Tembisa,” added Mr Tleane.
Mr Tleane said the ceremony will honour their maternal ancestors and other relatives.
