Celebrating a day for children

"I now prepare children for formal education and that makes things easy when they start formal school."

Lechabile Nursery School celebrated national children’s month by showcasing some of the art work done through learning.

The school’s principal, Ms Heather Nebulu, said November is National Children’s Month and they chose to celebrate it by engaging in activities like painting.

“This is their day and we made each child paint a letter. Each will hold his or her letter up and together the letters read ‘We Are Tomorrow’s Leaders’,” said Ms Nebulu.

She said this is to show the world that children are the future and to encourage the young ones to work hard.

She started the school in 1994 and she holds a level 1 home base care and first aid basics qualification.

“I now prepare children for formal education and that makes things easy when they start formal school,” she said.

She said parents must understand that nursery schools run school readiness programmes.
