Viva Zimbabwe calls all Zimbabweans to meeting

The main aim of the meeting is to discuss the expected role in removing president Robert Mugabe and thoughts on preparing for a new Zimbabwe

POLITICAL party Viva Zimbabwe will hold a meeting for Zimbabweans in the diaspora on Saturday, December 10.

The meeting will run from 12pm to 2pm and will be held at the Kempton Park Civic Centre.

Patson Mashingaidze, Viva Zimbabwe’s spokesman, said the main aim of the meeting was to discuss the expected role in removing president Robert Mugabe and thoughts on preparing for a new Zimbabwe.

“What’s next for Zimbabwe? Complete and utter turmoil, why? Because 70% of the population who are youths do not participate in elections by voting. Viva Zimbabwe is here to stand as the resistance to mis-governance and tyranny, we are children of the liberation who gave us our political independence however economic independence is what we now fight for,” explained Mashingaidze.

Mashingaidze said Viva Zimbabwe had suffered violence from the Zanu PF led government but would not be deterred.

“We are fighting for political space and we have made inroads and have a healthy membership of young people burdened with consciousness and weakened by hunger and unemployment.”

Mashingaidze added that the dire economic condition had forced women in Zimbabwe into prostitution, parading their bodies at street corners, while the men had fled to South Africa to seek greener pastures.

“This is the reason why Viva Zimbabwe, under the leadership of Dr Acie Lumumba and the commissariat office under Nelson Mutanha, have seen it fit to engage our brothers and sisters in the diaspora on December 10 to discuss what we can do to make Zimbabwe great again through youth participation.”

“Whenever you see that in order to produce anything you have to ask permission from men who produce nothing and that the money flows to those who deal not in goods but in favours, when your laws do not protect you from them but them from you, then you know that your society is doomed, this is the state of Zimbabwe..”

Mashingaidze said they would rather die than forfeit their economic independence.

“We would rather die than let Zimbabwe go down the doldrums of political irrelevance. Viva Zimbabwe implores all Zimbabweans in Johannesburg to come and meet us and be part of the Viva experience, an experience that is fathered by patriotism, mothered by intelligence and compassion for the continuation of our Great Zimbabwe.”
