A man and two women were injured this afternoon during an armed robbery at a jewellery shop at East Rand Mall.
ER24 paramedics, along with the police,, immediately responded to the scene. Upon arrival, paramedics were lead into the store where they found the three patients, Russel Meiring of ER24 said.
Paramedics assessed a man and two women and found they had sustained minor injuries. Fortunately, no other serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and transported to The Life Glynwood Hospital for further care.
It is believed that an unknown number of gunmen had entered the store and had assaulted the three patients.
Local authorities are on the scene to conduct an investigation.
