Ivory Park SAPS thanks committed members
Members, both from its staff and the community whose commitment to their jobs went beyond the call of duty, were given certificates of appreciation and trophies.
As a gesture of appreciation, the management of the Ivory Park SAPS held an end of year function for its members on Friday.
Members, both from its staff and the community whose commitment to their jobs went beyond the call of duty, were given certificates of appreciation and trophies.
The end of year function was held in Midrand, and trophies in the categories such as best relief, best detective, best commissioned and non-commissioned officer, best support member, best Vispol member, best public service member and the overall best police officer for the year 2016, were awarded.
Members of the community involved in crime fighting initiatives received trophies in the best patroller, best youth desk member and best reservist categories.
The primary aim was to thank those members for going beyond the call of duty, and to motivate other colleagues to put more effort into their occupation.
All these efforts are being made with the sole aim of making Ivory Park one of the safest places to reside in.
The chairman of the Community Policing Forum, Mr Frans Mothupi, addressed the attendees during which he recommitted the CPF he is leading to working closer with the police in order to make the Ivory Park policing precinct safer.
