Police arrest six in Terenure for drug possession and bribery

The suspects tried bribing the officers with R2 000

SIX drug dealers tried bribing their way out of being arrested on Thursday, December 15, when they were caught with Nyaope.

The six were arrested in Terenure, said Norkem Park SAPS spokesman, Capt Lesibana Molokomme.

“Officers stationed at Kempton Park Police Station received a tip-off about a house on Dunlin Road, suspected of being a residence where drugs were being sold,” said Molokomme.

The arrest took place at around 9pm.

“On arrival at the house the two officers recovered drugs, believed to be Nyaope. During the arrest the six suspects tried to bribe the officers with R2 000,” Molokomme added.

The suspects, aged between 19 and 28, were charged with the possession of drugs and bribery.
