Grade 1s tackle their first day of school with a smile

Some classes enjoyed welcoming sweet packets while others were colouring in and getting to know each other

WITH excited faces and heavy hearts, parents all over Kempton Park dropped off their sons and daughters to experience their first day of school as Grade 1s, on Wednesday morning.

EXPRESS visited Laerskool Impala, Laerskool Birchleigh, Laerskool Edleen, Aston Manor Primary and Kempton Park Primary, to see what the Grade 1s were up to.

Some classes enjoyed welcoming sweet packets, while others were colouring in and getting to know each other.

There are eight sets of twins among the five schools that EXPRESS visited this year.
