KEMPTONIAN Heloise Gevers, semi-finalist in the Mrs South Africa 2017 pageant, is hosting a 5km fun run/walk for the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) on April 8.

The event will be hosted at Benoni High School in Dalrymple Street and the run starts at 8am sharp. The walk will start at 8.30am.

Supporters also get in for free and donations towards CANSA are welcome.

“Several teachers and children in our community’s lives have been touched by cancer. Through this initiative I want to raise awareness about cancer and bring the community together to support those families and friends fighting cancer,” says Gevers.

The route is in the school premises and is safe for all individuals. Prams are also welcome.
