Challenge for all security estates to raise money for SPCA

Bluegill Eastate challenges the whole community to host their own doggy walks for the SPCA

BLUEGILL Estate and its residents raised R2 300 for the Kempton Park SPCA at their “Doggy walk around the dam” event on April 22.

Estate manager, Elda Weideman organised the event and also received various dog and cat food items from the residents.

“It‘s very important for us to help the SPCA where we can throughout the year and not just before Christmas time, so we thought that a doggy walk would be the perfect event for our residents because most of them have a dog,” said Weideman.

The route was around the dam inside the estate and entrance was R20 and a can of either cat or dog food.

More than 40 residents participated with their furry friends in the event.

“We are challenging the whole community, but especially security estates to host your own doggy walk and raise funds for the Kempton Park SPCA. We have started Christmas in April, now you should go forward with it. Let’s see how big we can make this project.”
