Fashion and modelling show to be hosted at Festival Mall
Most of the emerging creative talents in Ekurhuleni are being invited and should find this event worthwhile.
THE new Festival Mall Fashion and Modelling Show is the solution for Ekurhuleni’s young fashion designers and models who are seeking a platform to showcase their work.
The event, which can be attended for free, will be located in front of the Homecorp parking area.
“The huge number of people visiting Festival Mall makes a compelling marketing case for a business idea of this nature, matching young talented creatives with brands,” said Mike Tililo, the brains behind the event.
Most of the emerging creative talents in Ekurhuleni are being invited and should find this event worthwhile.
“We will host the event on May 26 and 27 and it promises to be an exotic two days of fashion, music, modelling, dance, glitz and glamour where the best will be on show”, says Johannesburg fashion scout, promoter and co-event partner, Peter Thobejane.
Thobejane said the scope of the event is unlimited with talent from Ekurhuleni townships and suburbs, as well as celebrities, media and guests in attendance, in addition to ordinary people or shoppers.
Among other things, the event builds Ekurhuleni’s global image, celebrates creative talent, provides world-class free entertainment to shoppers, recognises the contributions of the region’s talents to the national economy as well as providing a platform for cultural exchange.
The vision is for it to become a world-class event that markets the City of Ekurhuleni while providing jobs and inspiring hope for the future as well as encouraging young creatives in the region.
Target audiences are fashion stores, boutiques, scouts, young and emerging fashion designers, fashion models, fashion photographers, magazines, bloggers, radio, newspapers and television media. This list also includes stylists and other entertainers like DJs and musicians.
