Humpty Dumpty Pre-School and Day Care Centre in Maokeng Extension was given 20 first aid kits, carrier bags, stationery, a television, radio, office table and carpet on Friday last week.
The donation was made possible by the Gauteng central ambassador of Coca Cola Beverage South Africa, Midrand, Mr Elvis Saohatse. Mr Saohatse said the donation is a form of ploughing back into the community that they serve and part of their ongoing corporate social investment.
“Giving is a very important factor in our lives – as a company we want to always give to those less privileged homes, centres, schools and orphanages in the Tembisa community,” said Mr Saohatse.
He said as long as the company has something to give, they will identify any needy centres to plough back.
Meanwhile, the founder and owner of Humpty Dumpty Pre-School and Day Care Centre, Ms Lizzy Moape, said she was overwhelmed by the generous donation from Mr Saohatse, because they didn’t have any of the donated items.
“I am thankful that CCBSA put smiles on our faces today. It is really a blessing that God touched Mr Saohatse’s heart so that we benefit and also feel loved and remembered by a big, prominent company like CCBSA. We still need more donations to help sustain the centre,” added Ms Moape.
