‘Step in’ so Sibiya can ‘Step up’ his campaign
The campaign will rotate from the 12 states of America and is expected to commence from July 31 until August 5 this year.
Ivory Park lads, Vuyolethu Sibiya (26) and Mduduzi Mtakati (26) received an invitation to attend a fundraising campaign under the theme, Time to step up, in the United States of America.
Bishop Vincent Matthews, the president of COGIC World Missions – an association for pastors – invited the duo for being upstanding examples of young adults with servant hearts who have made a powerful impact on their communities. The campaign will rotate through 12 states of America and is expected to run from July 31 to August 5.

“We are appealing to any Good Samaritans, or businesses and government, to help sponsor our trip to America. All we need is finances to buy plane tickets,” said Sibiya.
Sibiya, the founder of Motivational Tour based in Lindokuhle section, Ivory Park’s Extension 2, is a young ambitious man who will stop at nothing to make it possible for him to grow as a person. Since he reached the secondary level, Sibiya has been committed to uplifting the broken spirits of young people and encouraging them to keep focus.
“I can say that public speaking is a God-given talent. Reaching out to young people has always been my passion,” he added.
Sibiya, who grew up as an orphan, said he never considered himself as poor or as an orphan – instead, he mostly concentrated on how to become a better person.
“I do not have room for negativity and I do not associate myself with negative people. One thing is for sure – I do not like people feeling pity for me. I am a well-mannered child who knows what he wants in life. I never wanted to be like those children who do not like to be disciplined. For me, there is no time to blame others for my actions and responsibilities,” said Sibiya.
Since its inception in 2013, Kuzondlula Motivational Tour managed to find about seven full bursaries for young people in the area.

“We are reaching many young people and learners within the country. My aim is to touch the lives of youngsters and to make a difference,” added Sibiya.
When asked what keeps him going, Sibiya said he is always surrounded by positive people and he does not have time to talk about girls.
“Business is always on my mind and success runs in my blood,” said Sibiya.
In order for the organisation ‘to make it’, Sibiya accepted help from the former Voice of Tembisa presenter, Mduduzi Dube, who encouraged him to work hard to reach his goals.
“He helped me to register the organisation and mentored me as a young person. He sometimes supported me financially and also helped with all the paperwork to make things possible. I was also empowered spiritually by the Metro FM Dj, Mzolo Nqcobo,” said Sibiya.
Sibiya is a church member of More Than Conquers under the leadership of Pastor Sarah Mokwena who was like a mother to him.
“We are appealing to members of the community to make this trip possible for us,” he added.
