Operation Ses’fikile keeps an eye on Tembisa

According to Kobeli Mokheseng, what started as high visibility by the EMPD ended-up as by-laws being enforced

On June 30, between 6pm and 12 midnight, Metro Police officers from SWAT (intervention), POPS (public order policing) units and nearby precincts, apprehended four intoxicated motorists in Madelakufa section in Tembisa.

They also issued 37 traffic fines, distracted an illegal street bash/party and discontinued five unroadworthy motor vehicles from being used on a public road. According to EMPD media liaison officer, Kobeli Mokheseng, what started as a high visibility operation by the EMPD around Madelakufa section, ended-up as by-laws enforcement, crime prevention and traffic law enforcement.

“It forms part of the Ses’fikile operation. It still continues and we won’t leave any stone unturned,” said Mokheseng.
