Kempton Express has received this notice from the City of Ekurhuleni just after 2pm:
“A team of technicians are on site installing new water valves to a water network supplying water to customers in the Kempton Park area. This has resulted in a temporary water supply interruption. Water is expected to be reinstated to customers by midnight.”
The affected areas include:
- Aston Manor;
- Glen Erasmia;
- Glen Marais;
- Kempton Park CBD; and
- Nimrod Park.

An emergency water shutdown will take place in Kempton Park on Thursday evening (July 13) from 8pm until 3am.
According to ward councillor Jaco Terblanche the water department informed him that these suburbs will be affected:
Kempton Park ext 2-4, Aston Manor, Nimrod Park, Allen Grove and Glen Marais.
