Registrations for art development school now open

The classes will run from September until May 2018

THE City of Ekurhuleni invites scholars and aspiring artists, aged between 13 and 25, to join free, regular art classes.

Registration is now open and interested candidates should apply not later than September 1.

The programme is set to provide mentorship and guide future artists to pursue careers in the field of art.

Over the past decade, this programme has produced some of the finest artists in Ekurhuleni. It has empowered them to access visual art careers and the creative arts industry at large according toThemba Gadebe the metro’s spokesperson.

The classes will run from September until May 2018.

Details for the art classes are:

Springs Community Hall (Saturdays 9am to 11.30am)

Geluksdal Library (Wednesdays 2pm to 4.30pm)

KwaThema Library Group Activity Room (Mondays and Tuesdays 2pm to 4.30pm)

Rhoo Hlatshwayo Art Centre (Daveyton Tuesdays and Thursdays 2pm 4.30pm)

Tembisa Main Library (Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2pm to 4.30pm)
