Police hunting for killer of Ivory Park woman

The victim was in the company of other people shortly before she was shot

Ivory Park SAPS detectives are calling on anyone with information regarding the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old woman in Ivory Park, Extension 13 to come forward in order to bring the suspect to justice.

The woman was found with two gunshot wounds on her body in the early hours of September 3.

Ivory Park SAPS communication officer, Capt Bernard Matimulane, said it was not clear what the motive for the murder was but the police are following up on all the leads and are appealing to anyone who knows something to contact them.

“The victim was in the company of other people shortly before she was shot. We call upon anyone who saw anything, even when they consider that piece of information to be insignificant, to talk to us in order for us to connect the dots,” said Brig David Mbongeni Ngcobo, the station commander of the Ivory Park SAPS.

Any member of the public who knows anything about the incident is encouraged to call the Ivory Park police on 011 990 9600 or come to the police and ask to speak to Det Cst Mohale.
