Mamello day care centre feted spring day with joy
Mamello Early Childhood Development (EDC) Daycare centre welcomed and celebrated a spring day with joy at Birch Acres on September 1.
Mamello Childhood Minding Daycare centre principal, Ellen Tutja, said celebrating spring day for them was brilliant.
She said they felt very humbled to celebrate spring as winter is over.
“Celebrating spring day is very crucial for us and the children.
During the celebration, we introduced a lot of dress code to the children in order to celebrate.
We enjoyed our day and even the children were happy,” said Ellen.
She said the support from the parents is unbelievable.
“I am so inspired to own one of the child minding centers in Tembisa, even though I started to teach only one child. Today I have 20 children.
“For over 10 years I worked at my sister’s creche and under her guidance, I learned child minding skills.
“I appreciate my sister’s patience for allowing me to be part of her childhood development centre,” said Ellen.
Ellen said she has academic certificates that allow her to operate the centre.
“I have to be careful with money because at the moment I don’t have any sponsors. I am very grateful for the support I get from the children’s parents. I will be happy to receive more children at my creche,” said Ellen.
Ellen said parents like her creche because it is clean and healthy for children. She said access at the gate is controlled to ensure the safety of the children.
“No one is allowed to take the children without the management’s permission. I am looking forward to working well with the Tembisa community,” Ellen added.
