Ekurhuleni north cluster SAPS made a number of arrests from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning.
Cluster communication officer, Capt Neldah Sekgobela, said 47 suspects were found driving vehicles while under the influence of alcohol, 14 were arrested by Rabie Ridge SAPS and nine by Tembisa South SAPS.
“Nine other suspects were arrested for assault cases and five for shoplifting.
More suspects were arrested for cases such as possession of dagga, theft, malicious damage to properties and contravention of road traffic act,” said Sekgobela.
All the suspects are expected to appear in Magistrate Courts in Tembisa, Kempton Park and Edenvale on Tuesday to face their charges.
