OPERATION Sesfikile was again out in full force in the Kempton Park CBD over the weekend.
Operations were conducted on Thursday from 9am to 4pm and again on Friday from 6pm to 2am on Saturday morning.
Various arrests were made and illegal substances confiscated, said metro police spokesperson, Kobeli Mokheseng.

The metro police also brought in its K9 and equestrian units, as well as SWAT units from nearby precincts.
During the high visibility patrols illicit substances were confiscated, illegally erected structures were demolished, undocumented persons were handed over to the nearest police station, sound equipment was seized where noise levels were excessive, traffic fines were issued to offenders, unroadworthy motor vehicles were discontinued and impounded, motorists with outstanding traffic fines were attended to, stop-and-searches were conducted and wanted suspects were apprehended.
“On Thursday, in one of the buildings, a 27-year-old male tenant was arrested after he was found with 20 ziplock bags of CAT to the value of R4 000 and an undisclosed amount of cash,” Mokheseng said.
On Friday, various night clubs were visited and patrons were frisked for illegal substances and dangerous weapons.
A motorcyclist in his 30s, wanted by police for various crimes, was also detained following a chase. He admitted he had stolen the motorcycle he was using at the time of his arrest. Three motorists who had one too many were taken in, including two persons found with crystal meth, nyaope, dagga and heroin.
Mokheseng said Operation Sesfikile was an ongoing crime prevention operation and was here to stay.
