Groups urged to register for Re-Kaofela Community Arts Festival
The festival will take place from December 11 to 16.
The Happiness Youth Group will be hosting its inaugural Re-Kaofela Community Arts Festival 2017 at Moses Molelekwa Arts Centre.
The festival will take place from December 11 to 16.
Arrival dates for groups from outside Tembisa commence on December 9 and 10.
The festival will cater for the following categories:
Modern dances (pantsula, kofifi, kwasa, sbujwa, hip-hop and contemporary), judged under one umbrella, traditional dance and gumboots, judged under one umbrella.
Music: (gospel, traditional, choral, acapella, scathamiya) among others.
Drama and poetry will be judged separately.
Registration forms are available upon request.
The closing date for registration is December 5.
As the festival office has limited space for participants available, people are encouraged to start registering to avoid disappointment. Kindly call to confirm that the office received your application form.
Prizes are as follows:
First, second and third prize: prize money, trophy and certificate.
Overall/outstanding: prize money, trophy and certificate.
