Awards encourage Busy Bee learners to work hard
Busy Bee Primary Farm School rewards bet performing learners.
Busy Bee Primary Farm School held a prize-giving ceremony to recognise hard-working children on November 25.
Founder and director of the school Gloria Padi said the award ceremony has been going on since the inception of the school in 1995.
“This award ceremony is meant to encourage learners to work hard. They need to reap good results for their hard work at the end of the year.
“This day marked the graduation of the Grade Rs which means next year they are going to Grade One.
“As a result of these award ceremonies we have seen a big improvement in learners’ performances,” said Padi.
She reminisced about the commitment made by some of the learners when they envy their awarded fellow learners.
“Last year they came to me and said: ‘Ma’am next year we are going to do better than Keketso’.
“Keketso Ndlovu was last year’s overall winner in Grade Five and she got four awards for being the best learner.
“Indeed those learners lived up to their promises and they performed very well in this academic year and they also got awarded.
“Keketso Ndlovu had a tough competition this year,” Padi added.
She said parents must keep supporting learners academically and give them moral support even at home.
Overall achievers in the foundation phase were Grade Three Resego Moatshe and in the Intersen Phase Sibusiso Sambo was the overall achiever in Grade 7.
“Sibusiso was also our head boy. The awards have become our school culture and we commit to hosting them throughout our service as a school.
“We are the best school with tranquility and therefore we encourage parents in surrounding communities to bring their children to Busy Bee Primary Farm School. We are at Plot 23 of the Farm Kaalfontein in Elandsfontein, Kempton Park 1620.”
Busy Bee Primary Farm School wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.
