Local clothing store donates to Child Welfare Kempton Park
Child welfare welcomes donations with open arms.
Child Welfare Kempton Park received a donation from Mr Price Festival Mall.
The local store donated four boxes of clothes to the organisation.
“This is the first time the store has made such a charitable gesture to the organisation and we are thrilled about this partnership,” said Child Welfare Kempton Park’s director, Makha Thusi.
“The donation was presented by three of the stores’ staff members: Sipho Maseko, Nomvula August and Sanele Mbatha.
“A huge thank you is extended to the store manager, John Foster, and the rest of his team for considering Child Welfare Kempton Park as one of its beneficiaries.”
Thusi added that the donation will help clothe members of the community served by the organisation.
“The donations made will go a long way in facilitating services rendered to the disadvantaged and vulnerable communities in Kempton Park. This includes neighbouring informal settlements of Bredell, Pomona, and Kaalfontein, among others,” explained Thusi.
“We challenge other retail stores in Kempton Park and surroundings, to match or exceed this donation; the more donations received, the more needy communities will benefit, thus contributing towards poverty alleviation.”
