Tankiso needs your vote to be Miss Eagle SA 2018

The Ivory Park resident is a contestant in the Miss Eagle SA 2018 pageant and needs your help to get through to the next stage.

Tankiso Nkgontsi is a young and vibrant woman who is goal-driven and all about wanting to see change around her and in her community.

The Ivory Park resident is a contestant in the Miss Eagle South Africa 2018 pageant, and would like your help to get through to the next stage.

Tankiso was born and raised in Ivory Park and completed her matric in 2012.

In 2015, she graduated from Richfield Graduate Institute of Technology with a diploma in business administration.

The 23-year-old is currently studying for her bachelor’s degree in business administration through Unisa.

“The reason I entered the competition is because of my drive to see change around me and my community. Miss Eagle SA is not only about modelling, it is a beauty with brains and purpose pageant. It’s all about women empowerment and it strives to give us women a platform to showcase our skills and ability to contribute to making a difference in our own community

“We grow every day as individuals as we learn to realise our capabilities,” says Tankiso.

“I grew through the experience and felt more eager to want to contribute to making a difference in my community. I got involved in community-based activities, and one of the campaigns I served in was around substance abuse (drugs), as it is the major problem in our community. It destroys the lives and dreams of so many young individuals and it also jeopardises the safety of the community.”

Tankiso says she wants to see her community living in a safe and healthy environment.

“I work tirelessly to complete all the activities given to me as a brand ambassador of the pageant, and I aim to do more than what I have already done,” she explains. “I want to see myself amongst the girls who will be competing for the Empress SA crown on the 15th December at the Sandton Convention Centre, where one of us will be the very first lady to be crowned Empress South Africa.

“But for me to advance to the next round of the competition, I need all the support from the community.”
