Patrollers receive new equipment from security company

The patrollers help secure the community

FIDELITY ADT Security donated 25 batons and pepper sprays to volunteer patrollers of Kempton Park on February 7 to help step up security in Pomona, Brentwood Park and Bredell.

“These 25 volunteers do an amazing job assisting the community by patrolling these suburbs,” said Aslam Munsur, community development manager for Fidelity ADT, who presented the items.

He said the patrollers play a vital role in keeping residents safe by reporting suspicious vehicles or behaviour to the relevant authorities.

“They keep residents informed on crime activities, motor vehicle accidents, as well as lost and found animals in and around the suburbs. We believe strongly in working with our communities and assisting where we can,” Munsur added.
