What to look out for when reporting something suspicious
Croydon community advised to give as much information as possible when reporting to the Croydon emergency groups

Sebenza Sector 2 CPF appeals to the Croydon community to take note of the proper ways of reporting suspicious activities.
“If you notice something suspicious, try and give as much detail as possible when reporting it,” said Renee Mott, Sebenza Sector Two CPF secretary and PRO.
“For example, if it is a person, provide the following information: gender and race (BM=black male, WF=white female), specifics about their clothing (red T-shirt, wearing a blue hat), hair colour or any visible scars or tattoos and what about their behaviour makes you suspicious.
“Although you might not have every detail, try to give as much as possible.”
Mott also explained about ways to report suspicious-looking vehicles.
“If it is a car you are distrustful of, give the registration number, make, model, colour and the number of occupants. Details of the occupants are also helpful.
“When reporting an incident, or when one is posted on emergency groups, don’t get involved. It could be a dangerous situation in which you could get injured.
“It is also crucial to keep crime scenes intact and the evidence preserved. CPF members have the required training for managing these situations and the appropriate emergency services will be contacted.
