Truck rear-ends another, two injured
The driver and passenger of the rear truck were trapped in the cab.
Two people were injured in a collision between two trucks in Kempton park on Wednesday afternoon.
Shortly after 4pm, paramedics from ER24 arrived near the intersection of Great North and Elgin roads where they found a truck that rear-ended another.
Upon assessment, they found the driver and passenger of the rear truck still trapped in the cab. The local fire department had to use rescue tools to free them from the wreckage.
Both occupants were treated for injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Once freed, they were transported to Sunshine Hospital for further medical management.
No one else was injured in the collision.
