Twinkle Twinkle share the love on Valentine’s Day

The theme of this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration at Twinkle Twinkle Day Care on Park Street was ‘share the love’.
According to the principal, Mercy Mpofu, the kids at the day care were taught about different ways to show love through various acts of kindness such as giving, sharing, friendliness and consideration for others.
The children, who were all dressed in red and white, painted various items depicting love in the colour red on a white background. These painted items were taken home by the children to share the love with their parents and wish them a happy Valentine’s Day.
Mpofu redefined Valentine’s Day celebrations as meaning a celebration of shared love, friendship and the joy of having other people in their lives. She urged parents and teachers to pass on love, particularly to people around them like the less privileged and the nation at large. This is a way to teach the children to love and fulfill their callings as parents and caregivers.
