Tlama Tlama pastor celebrates birthday by giving to the community
The well-respected man of God preferred to share his birthday with the community of Winnie Mandela Zone Four.
Celebrating his 36 years with friends, family and church members on February 17, was Pastor David Ramalepe, of Rock Breakers International Evangelist Ministry based in Tlama Tlama Section.
The well-respected man of God preferred to share his birthday with the community of Winnie Mandela Zone Four.
The event was graced by Ward 3 councillor Dorcas Makwela.
Ramalepe who was born and bred in Steinloop (Polen) village in Mokopane donated food parcels and clothing to needy families of Winnie Mandela Zone Four.

He started his ministry in 2014 when he had several visions, calling him to deliver people to God.
Ramalepe, who started preaching the Word of God at his secondary level, was raised in a Christian family. This selfless father of four children said he started to choose a township or village last year which he can celebrate his birthday with.
“Last year I celebrated my birthday with some Durban communities and gave out the little I had. It has always been my pleasure to put smiles on the faces of others. In this life, I have realised that the beauty of life does not depend on how happy you are but on how happy others can be because of you. This means our happiness depends on our willingness to help someone solve his/her problem. Somebody somewhere is in dire need of something you possess. It may be your love, smile – a genuine one, your strength, your time. Let love lead,” explained Ramalepe.

He said the giving attracts people but the manner and way they give attracts God.
“In His mind, what we give is not as important as the way and manner we give them. God knows us better than we do ourselves. He sees our hearts and knows our motives behind our giving. Remember, God is our reward,” added Ramalepe.

Described by his family as being a “living legend”, Ramalepe has pushed through many trials and tribulations to get to where he is today. In 1999 he decided to give his life to God and believed that God ordained him with a purpose-driven life, he pursued his faith and was eventually inducted as a pastor.
Gogo Emily Mafolofolo, who received some of the donated items thanked Ramalepe for giving them food parcels and clothing at the time they need them most.
