Members of the Ekurhuleni North Tactical Response Team recovered two stolen motor vehicles in Clayville Extension 29, Olifantsfontein on February 8.
The Ekurhuleni North Cluster communication officer Captain Neldah Sekgobela said the police followed the tracking device in a beige Polo Vivo that was allegedly stolen together with eight other cars during a business burglary in Krugersdorp.
“The signal led them to a house in Clayville Extension 29.
“On arrival at the house, the Polo Vivo was found parked in the garage and there was a Nissan X-Trail parked in the yard with a false registration number.
“It was discovered that the Nissan was hijacked from the owner in February 2016 in Sebenza.
“Various identity documents, sim cards and a toy gun were also found inside the house.
“No one has been arrested at this stage as the police didn’t find anyone on the property,” said Sekgobela.
Olifantsfontein police are busy with investigations regarding the suspects.
