Church of God in Christ celebrates one year of praise

Church dedicates its life to serving all the poor people in the world.

South Africa’s first jurisdiction of the Church of God In Christ (COGIC) celebrated their first anniversary in Ivory Park.

Congregants and visitors gathered at Tabernacle COGIC Main Sanctuary to praise and sing on February 24.

The first lady of the first jurisdiction of the COGIC, Patricia Magwati, said the event was organised by their fund-raising team to celebrate their one year anniversary.

“We have achieved a lot as a church. We have raised funds and took people to Tanzania to feed the needy, we raised money to build churches and we have also gone to Dakota in the US to help the needy.

“We serve the poor throughout the world and build churches to transform lives,” said Magwati.

She said God has called them to engage in charity work, give love and build churches around the world.

“I want to thank God for the wonderful work the fund-raising team is doing.

“May the Lord continue to bless them, give them more strength, patience and courage to continue in furthering the Kingdom of God.”

Fund-raising chair and director of public relations Reckson Mahori said he firmly believes that the story will be inspirational to the nation because the first jurisdiction COGIC’s ministry was formed solely to serve the community by meeting the needs of the less privileged.
