Business man parks in disabled parking, gets in trouble with shopper
'He is full of sh*t.' – man, after being accused by a shopper.
A local businessman landed in hot water with a shopper at Glen Acres Shopping Centre after parking on a disabled parking spot.
Theunis Botha told Kempton Express he confronted the man, who runs a dry-cleaning service.
“When I asked him why he [was parked in a disabled parking area] he said, ‘I always do this,’” Botha said. “I told him I was going to take a picture and report it, to which he replied to, ‘do what you want to do.’”
Express spoke to the man about the allegations. “They are doing renovations next door to our shop, so we stopped on the disabled spot for about two minutes to unload,” he said.
According to him, someone was already parked in the loading zone. He remembered that Botha had confronted him, and said that “[Botha] was full of sh*t.”
According to Botha, he has a 75 per cent disability in his left leg but does not stop on disability parking spots because he does not want to inconvenience other people with more severe disabilities.
