Woman airlifted from serious truck accident on N3 north

Two people are in a critical condition after a multi-vehicle collision involving a truck on the N3 North in Germiston on Saturday morning.

At about 7.30am, ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found a woman, believed to be in her 30s, entrapped in her vehicle. Fire and rescue personnel extracted her from the car, said Annine Siddall, spokesperson for ER24.

She was airlifted by the ER24 One Plan medical helicopter to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

A man believed to be in his 40s was found lying next to the truck and was treated and transported to hospital for further care.
