Major road closures on Zuurfontein Road on Saturday
Traffic will be diverted to the northbound lanes
King Civil Engineering Contractors will erect two bridges on various parts of Zuurfontein Road in Chloorkop on Saturday (March 17).
“We are installing one bridge at the corner of Zuurfontein Road and Ossewa Street and also at Zuurfontein and Orange River roads,” said King Civil Engineering Contractors’ Lance Whitaker.
“As a result, we will close Zuurfontein Road from Ossewa Street, past Bergrivier Drive up to Oranjerivier Drive.”
Whitaker said traffic will be diverted to the northbound lanes from Ossewa Street to Oranjerivier Drive, running parallel with northbound traffic.
“Road signs will be in place from 11am on Saturday morning, with the road closure commencing at 1pm.
“If all goes well the roads will be opened at 9pm but could extend to midnight,” said Whitaker.
