At least six injured in Gillooly’s interchange pile-up this morning

At least six people have been injured after multiple vehicles collided on the N12 just before the Gillooly’s interchange in Bedfordview on Friday morning.

When ER24 arrived on the scene just before 11am, traffic was severely backed up in the area, said Ineke van Huyssteen of ER24.

“Paramedics treated and transported six patients who sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious. Two other medical services on the scene also transported patients, the exact number is unclear at this stage.

‘The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics but the police were on the scene for further investigations.”
