WATCH: Elrida Pre-Primary celebrates Easter

About 40 children showed off their bunny masks.

A cloudy Tuesday morning couldn’t keep Elrida Pre-Primary’s little learners from celebrating Easter.

When Express paid a visit to the school in Esther Park, the about 40 children aged between two and six were excited to show off their bunny masks. These pink-and-white paper plate creations, trimmed with cotton wool and big pink ears, were made with love by their teachers.

In the sea of tiny bunnies, Atli Madikong (6) and Katlego Zitha (4) stood out with their grey and pink bunny costumes. As the school’s chosen Easter bunnies they were delighted to carry a green and pink basket filled to the brim with Easter eggs.

“The school is very excited,” said principal Delien van Staden.

With one day left until the school holiday, this teacher could choose no better way to end the term.

“They are all going to take part in an Easter egg hunt, but first they must eat their lunch,” she teased.

If not, these bunnies’ tummies might be too full of chocolate.

This little bunny was a bit shy to show Express his Easter treat.
