Tembisa SAPS have arrested two women, aged 21, on March 27 at about 9 am after they allegedly committed a house break-in and theft at Montsu section.
According to the Tembisa SAPS communication officer, Captain Manyadza Ralidzivha, the two women were apprehended by the owner of the house and he called the police.
“The 44-year old man, who stays in the house with his family, alleged that he was in his room when a neighbour came to the house. She told him that she had seen two women coming out of the house carrying a plasma television which they covered with a blanket. He immediately rushed to the main house to check for the television. He noticed that the television was missing from the sitting room. One blanket that belonged to his brother was also missing,” said Ralidizivha.
Captain Ralidzivha added the 44-year old man went out and followed the direction of the suspects.
“He saw them in one of the streets. He chased them and apprehended them at Teanong Section. The two women were found in possession of the plasma television and blanket that they stole from the house. Police was called to the scene where the suspects were found. The suspects were handed over to the police,” added Ralidzivha.
The two women are expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court to answer charges of house break-in and theft and possession of suspected stolen properties.
